Toronto Wildlife Centre’s work is only made possible thanks to the generosity of caring members of the public, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. All donations made to Toronto Wildlife Centre (TWC) are eligible for charitable tax receipts

There are several ways you can help provide sick, injured and orphaned wildlife with quality medical care, and members of our community with humane, expert advice on wildlife-related issues:

1. Make a donation

Toronto Wildlife Centre (TWC) is funded largely by individuals. While TWC also obtains some support through foundation and corporate grants, it is often challenging to secure funds from these sources. Therefore, Toronto Wildlife Centre relies heavily on the generosity of caring people like you. Click here for more information, or donate online now by clicking on the Donate Now logo above.

 2. Become a monthly supporter

You can help wildlife 365 days a year by joining TWC’s Monthly Wildlife Supporters program. A monthly commitment is a wonderful way to help wild animals in need. Your monthly commitment allows us to plan ahead, knowing that your support will be there to help sick, injured and orphaned wild animals throughout the year. To learn how to join TWC’s Monthly Wildlife Supporters program, please click here.

3. Donate products or services

Donations of products such as groceries, cleaning supplies or lumber, and donations of services such as accounting or garbage / recycling pick-up are urgently needed. These in-kind donations go a long way toward ensuring resources are available to help sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. To view TWC’s wishlist of products and services needed, please click here.

4. Make a donation in honour or in memory of a friend, family member, or client

Making a donation in memory of someone who had a love of wildlife, or in honour of someone special, can be a very meaningful gift. A colour certificate featuring a photo of wildlife and a customized message will be sent to the recipient of your gift. Click here for more information.

5. Give the Gift of Stocks or Securities

The federal government has made it very attractive to give the gift of publicly traded securities to charities like Toronto Wildlife Centre by eliminating capital gains taxes on all gifts of publicly-traded securities. To find out more, please click here.

Increase the impact of your donation: Matching Gifts

Did you know that a lot of businesses will match donations made by their employees to registered charities? Some will even match the donation on a 1:2 or even 1:3 ratio, and in certain cases companies will match donations made by retirees, spouses or widows/widowers of employees.

To view a list of the companies that have Matching Gift Programs, please click here, or contact your Human Resources department for details.

Please Note: This list is subject to change, and may not be complete. If the company you are looking for is not on this list, contact the company directly and ask if they have a Matching Gifts program.

Are You a Representative of a Foundation or Corporation?

There are many ways in which becoming a Toronto Wildlife Centre supporter could benefit your organisation. With our uniquely captivating and high-visibility work, your organisation would receive ample public acknowledgement for its contribution.
